Victorian Government Covid-19 Announcements
As you know our mission at Health 2 You is to bring health and care to where people most need it. As allied health care providers, we have the full support of the government to continue providing this important healthcare service to you.As the need and demand for our services continues to grow we are sharing some updates with you.
Along with our growing team of OT’s and Physio’s we are bringing on more Allied Health Assistants and Therapy Support Assistants to help with your healthcare needs. We are doing this working with universities including Swinburne University and the University of Melbourne, offering their Physiotherapy and OT students roles with us in the community healthcare space. It’s an exciting development for our growing business which we feel will provide you plenty of value by supporting our therapists to achieve better outcomes more affordably within the plans of our NDIS clients. If interested, please feel free to contact us or speak with your therapist to discuss how using Allied Health Assistants in your therapy program can help you.
In addition, the NDIS updated its cancellation policy in March 2020 to help support service providers through COVID-19. As per the then NDIS cancellation policy guideline, clients must provide ‘10 business days’ notice when cancelling a session or else clients are charged the entire cost of the service.
Health 2 You chose not to implement it because we understood this was a massive change. To help our client’s with this policy change we only implemented a 48 hours notice period and continue to do so but we ask all our clients to give as much notice as possible so as to not impact our practitioners. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, do incur a full service cost charge in line with the NDIS policy.
If you do find yourself having to cancel a session with less than 48 hours notice, please contact the relevant therapist, 1300 798 835, or email us at [email protected] to explain the situation and see if it’s possible to reschedule. While surprises will still sometimes occur, staying on top of your booking schedule will really help support our team best manage their busy calendars, travel times, and continue to help you avoid late notice cancellations.
Further, for our NDIS clients, the NDIS has approved providers charging participants for PPE, road tolls and other charges to help manage Covid-19 challenges. Just we did not implement the 10 day cancellation policy, we continue to look to protect our client’s funds as much as possible and therefore have decided we will not be charging you the clients for PPE, tolls, or these other related expenses at present.
Lastly, on a very positive note, we are delighted to welcome a new Occupational Therapist to our growing team. Taylah will start with us in late November.
As always, don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns, we thank you for your continued support.
Team @ Health 2 You.
